Hearing new AFI..

Was a shock.

I don't know what to think yet. Medicate still sounds so much like decemberunderground.

It's not a problem, but.. well..

The chorus sounds SO awkward to me. And the lyrics leave quite a bit to be desired.

If I can be brutally honest.. It all sounds so 'scene'. It kills me but the music is sounding less and less like a reason for living, and more like squealing teenage girl porn. All of it does. The album title, the logo, the track titles.

Nothing seems as deep as it used to.

I fully support their choice to make whatever sort of music they want to make. If this is what brings them happiness, I am happy they are doing it.

I love AFI, I really do. I am one of the many who at multiple points in my life, have persevered all because of their inspiration.

But I don't want to see them live this tour, and I'm just not feeling much excitement for Crash Love.

I'm secretly hoping my mind will change..
